'Thank You' book giveaway!

The response to my last post really warmed my heart. Thank you guys!
It's good to know that blogland is still out there (for me) when I need it.
So I thought; With so many books just sitting in my book cases,
why not host a 'Thank You' Book Giveaway?

Sorry about the crappy picture. The books are:

Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair - Pablo Neruda
Something at the Window is Scratching - Roman Dirge
Oskyld - Åsa Eriksdotter
Love Child - Gcina Mhlophe
The Great Gatsby - F Scott Fitzgerald
Sexing the Cherry - Jeanette Winterson

This time I'm keeping to books that are thin and light, so there's
quite a bit of poetry in the mix. The books are all in used condition
and please note that one of them, Oskyld, is in Swedish.
But the giveaway is international, so everyone feel free to sign up!

The rules are the same as last time: Comment on this post,
stating which 2 or 3 of the books you are interested in
and you are entered in the draw. All I ask is that you are a follower
('cause it's really all about you). I will draw the winners a week from now!

  4. You are too generous. Here are my choices, if I win:
    1. Something at the Window is Scratching (you probably knew that, lol)
    2. Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair (LOVE that man's poetry!)
    3. Sexing the Cherry (who doesn't want a copy of that?)

    Hugs!

Hm... I think I should have a bookish giveaway soon, too. You've put me in the mood. ;-D

    1. You're so sweet, but I am no more generous than many of our mutual blog friends. I receive the loveliest things in the mail on a semi-regular basis - often completely "unprovoked" :) And I am doing some serious spring cleaning right now, both of mind and physical spaces.

  5. I have already won one of your giveaways so I'll give someone else a turn. Lovely prizes though! You are toooo sweet and generous!

  6. Heey, and thank you so much for following my blog! <3 I very much appreciate it! You have a fantastic blog yourself!!! And of course, if it is ok to participate myself, i would say :

    1. Something at the Window is Scratching - Roman Dirge and
    2. The Great Gatsby - F Scott Fitzgerald.

The first one seems very interesting (but until now i had no knowlegde of it) and the second is on my list for quite a while now.

P.S this may sound weird, but i looooove your links on your blog (on the side).

    1. I have been (mostly) away from the blog world for quite a while, so looking for new blogs has been low on my list of priorities. But yours just felt instantly recognizable, and pretty :)

      And thank you!

  7. I'll enter! :) If I win I would like The Great Gatsby and Something at the Window is Scratching.

  8. Hmmm...I've never read the Great Gatsby, so I'd like to give that a whirl. The Neruda poetry sounds lovely. And that Sexting the Cherry book sounds right up my alley. Thanks for hosting this!

    1. I took English and English literature at Uni, so I had to read all the classics. Gatsby captures a brief moment in (American) time, during a couple of decades when everything was constantly changing (in the Western world).

  9. Hmmm Sexing the Cherry, Something at the Window is Scratching, and Love Child are my top three! Thank you lovely lady!

  10. I feel horrible, I read your post and I didn't enter. I figured oh I got a book last time I'll let someone else have a try and then your new post! Can't have a contest go by with not enough entries...my choices are- 1. Something at the Window is Scratching - Roman Dirge (because I have disturbed children) 2. Love Child - Gcina Mhlophe (because it sounds fascinating) and 3. The Great Gatsby - F Scott Fitzgerald (because I don't actually own a copy). Yay for giveaways...you make me want to do this myself...I think I might!

  12. I didn't enter as I feel a little greedy in doing so, I've already received so much from you, my dear ♥

But alas, here I am, loving the cover of 'Oskyld' and craving a peek between the pages of 'Something at the Window is Scratching'.

    1. Am I to take it as you being interested in 'Oskyld' even though it's in Swedish? Or should I only put you down for 'Something..'?

  13. Roman & then Pablo are the two that interest me most. Gatsby is the one that doesn't. Read it in college & didn't like it. It just seemed to me to be a story about wealthy spoiled brats.
