Happy 8th Haunted Humpday!
I finally feel all caught up with the Halloween makin',
and today I thought I'd show some of the things we've done
for Halloween in our little cottage this year.
(More to come in 2 weeks, for The Professor's Monthly.)
The only people we have over for Halloween is my family,
and since I have three nieces - the youngest is two -
our house is decorated in a more "family fun" way for Halloween
than me and my man would personally choose.
I found the salt and pepper shakers at our town square
flea market the other week - for next to nothing. I love them!
(I also thrifted a warm cardigan, for autumn days at the store.)
I bought these streamers this spring when I visited my man
in the States. We have nothing Dia de los Muertos related in Sweden
so I was thrilled to find these - they perk the dining room right up!
We have a small and narrow mantel, so it can be tricky to decorate.
At some point in the future I would love a big open fire place,
- as much for the decorations it can fit, as for the fire.
These guys are hanging out in my bathroom. I realized this year
that we have the perfect wall lights to make bed sheet ghosts!
I just used some black velvet cloth for eyes and mouth.
And lastly; Here are some of our late pumpkins. I don't have high hopes
for them turning color before Halloween, but if they don't I plan on
spray painting them purple and black, so no-one will be the wiser :)
Thank you for visiting, and thanks to Marfi for hosting!
Our hostess if feeling a little under the weather this week
so please head over to her blog to cheer her up :)
