Haunted Humpday VI and a giveaway!

Happy October and Happy 6th Haunted Humpday!

I have spent the last two days unpacking Halloween
decor and decorating my store. My back and feet ache,
but now tons of happy pumpkin faces and scary spiders
are staring at me from every corner. I love Halloween!

Yesterday some of the things made it home with me.
I am not even gonna pretend like I didn't put a paper bag
next to me while unpacking, into which now and again
a little something would slip down :) Though, in my defense,
most of the things were broken and had to be reclaimed.
(The pallet fell during shipping and it was all a big mess.)

I don't feel like the Swedish loner Halloween weirdo anymore,
who has to make her own stuff out of left-over cardboard.
Now I have a respectable collection of Halloween lanterns,
enough to infuse every room in the cottage with spooky coziness!

Since we've entered October I think it's time for
a Haunted Humpday Halloween giveaway - don't you?

These are Halloween wine glass decorations made out of glass,
but I hung some on a candelabra today and it looked great too.
Next Humpday, the 8th of October (which is also my birthday)
I will draw 2 winners from the comments on this post.

Good luck and, as always, thank you Marfi!

  1. It is simply sad that here in Brazil we don't really celebrate Halloween. I don't really remember much celebration when I was in Norway either (just costumes at school at that's all), but I guess it is because I never paid too much attention. Some people do try having Halloween parties here, but they are far from a big thing, haha.

    1. The Halloween colors purple, orange and black are simply great. I could decorate my house year round using only those.

  4. I seem to be adding one decoration per day. Today, I took Miss Faerie Godmummy out of her box. She looks very happy in all her creepiness.

    Happy 7-Days before your Birthday!

  18. Oh, I know exactly how you feel -- for years I have been the German loner Halloween weirdo. ;) In Germany, it's still hard to find really nice decorations, but at least it has gotten a bit easier over the years.

Your pumpkin decoration is just wonderful! :)

Thanks also for the chance to win the Halloween glass decorations. They would look lovely on my little Halloween tree (which I will show on my blog on the next Haunted Humpday).

Just in case, I don't make it to your blog in time for your birthday -- I will be thinking of you that day and sending lots of positive energy!

    Greetings from Munich,

    1. Thank you, Lexa! I hope you are right, and I think it would be much easier for Swedes to get through fall if they opened their hearts to Halloween.
