Haunted Humpday IV and some news

I wasn't sure what to do for this week's Haunted Humpday.
When I get home at night lately it's already getting dark
and my camera just isn't any good without natural light.
So I give you this. I call it 'The Deranged Rooster'.

I'm looking forward to two TV shows in particular this fall.
Both are premiering in October, AHS on my birthday actually.

And it wouldn't be leading up to Halloween unless the amazing
Vanessa at A Fanciful Twist had a party brewing!
You know I'll be there, and won't you join too?

Now for the News: Yeah, I'm on Twitter now.
I'm not entirely sure how I ended up there...
but I suspect it had something to do with the wine :)
So if I follow you, it really is me. Just so you know.

I guess I joined because I sometimes feel the need for a more
"real time" relationship with my on-line friends, and because
there are some political groups I want to keep up with.

If I unfollowed some of you in the signing up process,
I apologize. Signing up I was automatically following
something like 60 accounts, so I just panicked.
If your Twitter name is different than your blog name,
please just give me a holler. I'd love to see you there.

And the other News: I'm seeing a doctor tomorrow.
I'm really anxious to sort my meds out asap.
It's been a weird and angsty couple of months.
This time I will finally get to see a specialist,
and not just an intern on rotation (like the last 5 times).
I hope that means I'll get what I need.

  1. I like the deranged rooster lol. I'm thinking of participating in the Halloween party this year, although I don't know what to do yet. I've never done an online Halloween party hop before, it'll be interesting

    1. Except for a Red Ridinghood cape I own nothing red. I might have to work on that :)

  3. I love the mask!
Eeep! Amanda and I are so far behind on American Horror Story. We haven't seen the 2nd season but we've seen two episodes of the 3rd.
I've been on twitter for awhile but I'm still trying to get the hang of it. Some of it is a little overwhelming and I keep seeing stuff from people I'm not following.
I am really glad that you finally get to see a specialist! I really hope that outcome of that appointment works out for you!

    1. Really? I looked for you but couldn't find you. What's your Twitter name?

I didn't like AHS season 2, it was way to dark and full of violence against women. But season 3 was beautiful and hilarious.

    2. I'm Hannah Richardson or @Kohanasuki
      hope that helps. :)
Oh I really want to see season 3, all of it!

  4. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the doctor can help you! And I must have lived under a rock, because until your post I have not heared from the Constantine series although I love the movie! I hope it is good, the trailer seems promising...

    1. I don't think it's been blasted everywhere like many new shows are. Maybe they think it will only have a smaller nerdier following.

  5. Hope everything goes well with the doctor. I cannot see the first video sadly, unavailable in my country. But I love the mask. Red is a spooky colour.

    1. Me too, I can't wait. For some reason Cinnamon man isn't loving the carnival setting, but I think I am :)

  7. Best of luck with the doctor. Sending good wishes your way! I love AHS unfortunately I am confined to Netflix for my viewing so I am still waiting for season 3 to be uploaded. Hopefully come October they will add the season since the forth is starting up. I have no idea what Constantine is about though I might have to look into it.

    1. Thank you, Nadine.

AHS season 3 was WAY better than season 2. Less heavy and ugly and with a great female cast.

    2. I am so happy to hear that. I loved the humor of the first season but season 2 was painful. I thought about skipping it but I got bored and eventually gave in. By the end I was extremely confused, ticked off, and just out right bummed out.

      Radera
  8. Constantine, yes. AHS, not so much - after the first season, it went downhill.
I hate doctors - well, not all of them... %-) Good luck there:-)

    1. I didn't like AHS season 2 but I loved season 1 and season 3.

I have met mostly great doctors, it's just that most of them don't know how to help me. This specialist was pretty cool though, offering up some new ideas.

  10. Nice mask! Glad you will finally get to see a specialist! It is really hard when it';s hard to get in to see a doctor and you get a different one every time! I hope they work everything out for you! Hugs!

I am excited for Constantine too!

Ooh an October birthday! How Halloween-Y!

    1. I know, I always celebrate my birthday on Halloween, with a masquerade party for my family, candy hunt for my nieces, and of course - cutting jack-o-lanterns :)

  11. Cute mask, I love red for Halloween!
Thanks for the heads up about AHS and Constantine, haven't seen anything about either of them here yet. Now I'm going to be even farther behind, ha!
Hope you have good luck with your specialist, getting the right doctor makes all the difference.
    Cheers, Sarah

AHS is on its 4th season now. Do you mean you haven't seen any of it before? You are in for a treat!

  12. So excited for AHS too!!! I am sorry to fill you green with envy with all of my Halloween goodies. I wish I could ship a whole whack of them to you but what with the size of most substantial decorations… it would cost thousands lol!

Glad you are getting things sorted out health wise, so not worth it to stick with something that is not working for you personally.

I hope all goes really well for you with the doctor, and I'm glad it's a specialist you're seeing - may this be the beginning of feeling a whole lot better really soon.

  16. Your rooster look made me giggle. Thank you.

Constantine sounds delicious. Can't wait for my eyes to get back to normal--all the way--so I can catch up with some TV and reading.

I'm a couple of days late for this post, so I hope all went well with the doctor.

And yes, I just started following on Twitter. I'm the worst tweeter ever. Maybe having you there will make me connect more. ♥

    Party!

    1. I loved the movie Constantine, I'm hoping the show won't disappoint.

I realized that I missed the day-to-day interactions with my friends on-line, but not the IRL friends on Facebook - mostly my blog friends :) So I thought Twitter might work.

I'm sorry about your eyes - did they finally figure out what was the issue?

      Radera
  17. Ha! Love the "Deranged Rooster"! I'm looking forward to checking out 'Constantine' too! :)
