A mini 4th

One of the reasons why I love my man is that he isn't a traditionalist,
he's also really neither typically American nor Swedish.
Like me, his home is where his heart is, and neither one of us
celebrates our country's Independence Day/Nationaldag.

But tonight I was in the mood so I told him; There really is no reason
not to celebrate (at any time) when you have a reason,
and it is Friday after all. So this is the result - a mini 4th of July :)

    1. Haha - it's a great flag for dessert making for sure. The Swedish flag is light turquoise blue and yellow - not as easily put together...

    1. I do need little celebrations all the time, "everyday-luxus", or I feel there just isn't much to live for.

  8. That is SO cute! Such an adorably stylish mini-fest! Love it!! I agree with you... home is where the heart is. I am an Aussie, but I'm not rampantly nationalistic. I also agree that why not take whatever opportunity to celebrate that life offers us. ;)

    1. Thank you so much!
Nationalism and patriotism are murky, complicated waters to sail. I prefer inclusive perspectives, local or global.
