June tested my faith. The hot weather made me long for new
airy summer dresses, and because I've gained some weight lately
not everything in my summer wardrobe fits me like it used to.
But I stood fast. I flipped through my dresses on several occasions,
reminding myself of the excess. Any time a customer tried on a dress,
or I saw a pretty one in a shop window, I pictured my packed closet.
Though I can't shop I can certainly want something fresh and new,
and the solution is obviously sewing. The issue is that summer is
beckoning for me to enjoy the outside, not to be cooped up inside.
The only thing for it might be moving the sewing machine out on the patio.
