Signs of summer (and delirium)

Today is actually pretty chilly compared to the last few weeks,
but I'm sure it's just a temporary set back. I read an article where
this American weather guy stated that Sweden is in for the warmest
and wettest summer in a generation. It's going to be downright tropical!

Hmm, am I rambling? ..about the weather..?
Yes, I still feel funny. And I have a TAN. Me, the pale autumn bride.
Beware good folks, hell might have frozen over.

Ok, enough. This post was supposed to be about signs of summer.
Like blossoming white lilacs, two weeks earlier than usual.
And like tiny little radishes popping up only a week after planting.

Oh, who am I kidding? I can't think straight.
All I do is daydream about lazy summer days on the patio
with my lover, cocktails and berry cobbler. Peace at last.

  1. Only eight more days, Ms. Misantropia! And I'm jealous about your weather ... it's been snowing since Friday. Good grief, will it never end? :)

    1. Still snowing?! Poor you guys. I had hoped it would have melted away by now so you could really get cracking at the house.

      And yes, 8 days :)

  2. I actually see your point, as this year my exams will mark the beginning of the Summer, meaning that as soon as I am done with them, I´ll be able to enjoy a huge holiday.
So heat, you can come to me! :P

    1. I don't know if I've ever missed the warmth as much as this spring. Maybe it's because I've been lonely. So yeah - bring it on!

I love when I see sprouts popping out of the earth - they make me smile.

    1. You know, I never used to be friends with Mr Sun. He was always so relentless, unforgiving before. Maybe we've both gotten older and wiser ;)

  6. We should all ramble about the weather every now and then, while thinking about warm afternoon drinking something yummy with our loves. ♥

    1. Someone told me that Swedes talk more about the weather than any other nation in the world. That just says so much about us that I don't even know where to begin - and that's why I always catch myself when I do it myself :)

  8. (I hear dancing) We talk about weather as small talk & to judge what kind of person we're talking to ;)
