Happy Haunted Halloween Humpday!

It's about that time - today is the last Haunted Humpday of the year!

It has been a hectic month (or two) for me, trying to organize
the Halloween event in our little town - but it's all finally in place! (I think)
Since it's the first time we do anything like this, it difficult to estimate
how many visitors will show up, and I'm a little nervous.
What if no-one wants to join the pumpkin carving contest?

A heavy storm also drew by earlier this week, knocking over trees and sheds.
So I'm keeping an eye on the weather forecast - but it does say 'sunny'
for tomorrow :) Besides that, there is not much else left for me to do now.

So, last night it was time for me to finally start celebrating Halloween
- with candy eating and pumpkin carving!
For Marfi's last Haunted Humpday - here are our silly creations:

The coming week will be jam packed with more celebrations;
two birthday parties, a Halloween party at our house and
Cinnamon man's parents are coming over from the States.
I have no idea how we're going to pull it all off..!

How are you guys celebrating Halloween this year?

  2. Awesome Jack - o' - lanerns! I can imagine how nervous you are, but I'm sure your little event will be succesful and fun. People, especially kids love pumpkin carving, especially if they get some candies or cookies for doing it. If I were you, I'd take these awesome lanters and display them in the town, I'm sure they'd put others in the mood for pumpkin carving too. :) Have fun tomorrow, it's gonna be AWESOME! ;)

  3. Do not fret and worry. Let your heart be filled with love and happiness and let it be contagious! If his mother says she wants to help with anything LET HER. You will make her happy. Do not worry - they will come, and whether it be 5 or 50 or MORE they will have fun and the event will grow year by year.

  9. Oh yes we experienced the heavy storms as we flew from Paris into Amsterdam on the 28th, and the winds were horrendous making the landing rather scary! We were getting a connecting flight home from there but it was postponed and so we stayed over night in a hotel... although it was only one night everyone there was so kind to us and we ended up having quite a fun evening in the bar with drinks and nibbles. It made us want to come back one day to spend more time in Amsterdam :)

Anyways, your pumpkins look great! I will be doing some pumpkin carving and candy eating tonight myself... enjoy the birthday celebrations and have a happy Hallowe'en!
