Broomsticks on the Bayou!

A week or two ago I told Cinnamon man that I had this wonderful
blog party coming up, but with everything else going on,
I didn't have a good idea of what to do or make for it.

I love Louisiana and New Orleans - the music, the food, the nature
(though I've only been there once and that was 15 years ago).
It's a crazy, vibrant, beautiful and mystical melting pot!
Still, I've been running on empty lately, so I was stumped.

But recently Cinnamon man has been experimenting with video editing,
so he suggested that we'd animate a painting. I thought it was a fun idea,
but since I know nothing about animation I asked him if he was ready
to do most of the work... Luckily he said he was - so this is really
his party post :) I only looked stuff up and wrote the poem.

On these yet unfamiliar shores
eponymously named; 'La Louisiane'

She draws ancient markings in the sands
calling on the spirits once again

With her face to the east, she vows
"Je serai leur nouvelle Reine

Thanks to Incipient Wings and Frosted Petunias
for hosting this fabulous blog party! We both had fun :)

Don't forget to sign up for my All Hallow's Grim GIVEAWAY!
It's open until tomorrow night (CET). The winners will be announced

  5. You and Cinnamon man make an awesome animation team. Ms. Misantropia! Unfortunately, I am just getting my new computer up and running, and I haven't figured out how to attach the speaker yet. You wouldn't think it would be that difficult, would you? Probably why I've been putting this particular project off for 4 months! Still, it's a nice break from packing. :P

Cinnanon Man and yourself should definitely consider doing some more. :-)

Lately I have been falling behind answering comments, for many reasons. But I read and cherish all of them! Your comments make my day, yay!
