Ralph Lauren Ready-to-wear Fall 2013

I don't know about you, dear blog friends, but this is right up my alley!
There is some wonderful 1920's-30's bohemian inspiration here, in the beautiful
silk velvet garments and in the accessories; berets, big belts and long beaded necklaces.

But we also get a more opulent Russia-at-the-turn-of-the-last-century vibe
in the ruffled ball gowns and skirts, in the large earrings and jewels
- and of course in the black fur hats. And those colors - yum!

    1. I know, that purple is my favorite purple! And velvet is my favorite fabric.

  3. I WANT the black skirt! What a beauty. I would wear it with a tiny, bright red, tube top. Something with black beads on it... and thigh high boots (don't worry, I'll have to lift my skirt to dance the night away, so my boots would get their face time, too ;-)

  8. OMG, that black velvet coat with the beadwork. Now THAT is suitable for a Grownup Goth!

I never get tired of Ralph Lauren - I've cut out and saved pictures of his clothes from waaaay back when I was in my twenties! I love it all - the country look, the bohemian stuff, the velvets - everything except for maybe the preppie style. That's a look I have some difficulties with. ;o)

    1. It's funny, I always associate Ralph Lauren with those bright ugly Polo-shirts. I am surprised every time they come up with a new stunning dark line :)

  9. Oh yea..Russian influence is there! Absolutely stunning attire!
loved the purple dress on the very first picture, and also the maroon one with brown bolero.

    1. I have a weak spot for vintage Russian styles. Doctor Zjivago blows me away every time!
